The Europe West Africa Trade Agreement is a Liner Conference operating under EU Regulation 4056/86. The Agreement covers movements of liner cargoes between ports in Europe (Baltic Region, Scandinavia, United Kingdom, North West Continent of Europe, Spain - Atlantic seaboard, Portugal) and West Africa (from Mauritania to Angola).
TERMINATION OF EWATA OPERATIONS
To coincide with the repeal of the liner conference exemption in EC Regulation 4056/86, the EWATA Conference will terminate operations on 17 October 2008. Accordingly, the conference tariff and any other existing EWATA arrangements will cease to be in operation on 18 October 2008.
